Jesus wept.
This verse from John, chapter 11, is popular for being the shortest verse in the Bible. Two ladies from the town of Bethany sought out the Messiah to tell him that Lazarus was sick and needed a healing. When Jesus finally arrived to Bethany, he found that Lazarus had died and was in a tomb. The people were in mourning. Jesus was moved and joined in the mourning. Then, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. How excited the people of Bethany must have been upon witnessing such a miraculous event.  The Messiah started a movement that swept across the land, went global, and took over history.

I painted my pencil drawing using Corel-paint. I introduce you to the site with the drawing because I actually like it better than the colored version. For me this is often the case. To me the black & white pencil version is more raw and better for individual contemplation. It takes me much longer to draw the art than it does to paint it.

If you use the art for something, you should ask for permission. Recently I found that someone used the pencil drawing without permission at a site that does not honor the Messiah and advocates a disagreeable moral and political agenda. My e-mail address can be found at the profile - please use only if it involves important business.
